Children aged 3 and under can come with a paying adult for free but must be supervised at all times.
Come join us for an amazing heartwarming experience with our many rescued sheep (300) here at Sheep Sanctuary, based in Tranmire Whitby within the North Yorkshire moors.
The experiences are run in small groups, so that you get time to get up close and personal to some beautiful characters, giving you memories to last a lifetime. A connection with a sheep that you would never have expected.
All of our sheep are rescued and are safe for the rest of their lives. Some are shy, others are demanding of cuddles and attention.
Each session begins with a safety chat and continues with the stories behind some amazing “cloud puppies”.
You get to meet the Black Valais ~ “Casanova loves a hug and sometimes a kiss :0)
Stevie the blind sheep will come to you if you call her
Jimbob will love you forever if tickle his tummy
Titch the naughty boy ~ haha..he’s lovable as long as you do as he says and so many more magical beings
Be warned though….I (Sharon) talk a lot when it comes to my sheep.
Often the experiences run over as I get lost in sheep land, when the experience finishes you can walk around our shop where we have created rugs, felted sheep and trinkets from our much-loved rescues ~ to raise sanctuary funds And at the end, you can purchase teas coffees etc along with homemade cakes, sandwiches and more (all vegan of course).

- Please bring wellies as it's often muddy
- Dogs are not allowed as our sheep get worried
- Children must be accompanied by an adult and everyone requires a ticket each
- Spectators will also need to purchase a standard ticket as they will also be part of the session
